NOVEMBER
ROUND-UP OF NEWS FOR 2011
HUGE congratulations to John Warburton winning the Governor General's Prize in Canada. There has now been a Yorkshire shooter in the chair in Australia, South Africa and Canada - who's going to win at Bisley?!

Unforunately the Roses Match had to be postponed so there will now be two in 2012. At the YRA Autumn Open, John Stevens won the Yorkshire Championship. In October Huddersfield won the Bingham Shield, with Leeds winning the Team of Eight.

JULY
RESULTS FROM THE COUNTY SHORT AND LONG MATCHES
The county matches at the Imperial went well with steady scores throughout. Highlights include an excellent start of 397 ex. 400 at 300yds. Full results now uploaded.

Well done to individuals who had a good (if wet) meeting: Dave Dyson, Sarah-Jane Binder, John Warburton and Ian Davison all figured high up on prize lists.

ENTER THE YRA AUTUMN OPEN MEETING

JUNE
YRA SPRING OPEN RESULTS
Dave Allen won the Coronation, Andy Jones (a Tyro!) won the Goodrick, Martin Schwarz won the day's aggregate, and Leeds took the team cup. Full results now uploaded.

INTER-COUNTIES MEETING
Yorkshire finished 14th in the short, 5th in the long and 7th overall at the Inter-Counties. A bit of a mixed bag but some notable scores from John Warburton top scoring, and Ros Wiltshire and David Wiles reviving past glories.

KGV NORTHERN HEAT
Yorkshire finished runners-up to Lancashire at Altcar, some way behind.

MAY

Astor Yorkshire Heat
Huddersfield won the Astor heat in breezy conditions at Brockholes, by 7 points from Leeds. Full details to follow.

APRIL
Purples Match Results
The Yorkshire team fielded a good mix of experience and new caps for this opener to the team shooting season, and came away with a creditable score of 1168. Full team results now uploaded and final position will be added when the information is gleaned from the organisers!

MARCH
Brockholes Training Day
Eight shooters and three coaches took part in early season training. Possibles from Roger Quy, Mark Silson and Dave Allen, with scores averaging 49 at 200x and 48 at 500x.

FEBRUARY
The 2011 season is underway and updates to this website are being done. Please have a look at the fixture list on the right and let the captain know your availability for the Yorkshire team in forthcoming matches.

Squad Training at Brockholes
This is a season opener and is open to anyone who wishes to develop their shooting and coaching technique and get up to speed for future matches.
