Club information

Morley & District Rifle Club was founded in 1944 by the Home Guard. The club is situated in Morley, within easy reach of the M62. The club has three lanes for .22 (smallbore) rifle and three lanes for air pistol (all sited indoors). Morley rifle section has regular club nights on Tuesday and Thursday evenings, and on Sunday mornings. The air weapons section shoots on a Wednesday evening. The club also has close associations with Leeds University who use the facilities on a Monday evening.

The club can provide all the equipment necessary for potential members to try out the sport. Membership this year is £59 for an adult, and this is reviewed on an annual basis. Please note that all potential members have to be vetted to ensure that they do not have a criminal record.

The club enters teams in the Yorkshire Leagues and in the Leeds Leagues at 25 yards, separate leagues for air weapons, as well as running in house competitions. Teams also shoot at 50 metres, 50 yards and 100 yards – using the outdoor facilities provided by Leeds Association at Knostrop.

We have recently introduced .22 benchrest shooting which takes place on Saturday mornings.
At the moment there are only a few shooters taking part but this will increase when we put things on a regular basis.
